A Summer Evening

This was, by far, the best way to wrap up my summer sessions. An unexpected air front that carried in some cooler temps while the humidity was down to a comfortable crisp. I probably could have photographed this family for hours. Their smiles are legit. Their laughter is sweet. And these moments were casual, effortless, and heartwarming. Everything wrapped up into one amazing summer evening.

Most clients shy away from the summer sessions and while I don't blame them (the heat is heavy here in North Carolina) --- the magic of summer lighting is truly beautiful. The way it casts its warm glow. Photography sessions, especially family sessions, are a labor of love and always worth it. Pair that with some summer nostalgia, and summer family sessions can embrace so many great qualities.
